Background:
Perpustakaan Sultan Badlishah was established in July 2001 with a new bulding, 2772 msq and could accommodate 750 seatings. Previously it was lead by various librarians and currently, it is headed by Puan Azizah Khasim, a Deputy Chief Librarian, assisted by 3 professionals Puan Atirah Ruslan, Puan Noor Azlin Abdullah and Encik Mohd Amiruddin Mohd Nasir. The support staff as of today are 21 good, hard working citizens. In giving a good, reliable and relevant services to more than 8000 users, PSB have 9 units, 5 counters, extended opening hours including weekends and a stable automation systems such as ILMU, CMAPs and RFIDs.
PSB has stayed as Top 3 best library among the UiTM Libraries since 2005, with twice championing and thrice runner up. We believe in giving library patrons the best of the best with first class service and first class facilities. PSB has pathed a long way to excellence and decided to maintain and enhance more towards becoming a global player along with the Rector’s Aspiration.
PSB has evolved from a conventional library to a dynamic, progressive library with updated gadgets, tremendous networking and condusive environment and voted by graduates as one of the best place in campus. It functioned not only as `book store’ but a place of info exploration and mind boggling session. Our staff are trained and multi-skilled to accommodate younger generation needs.
Objectives:
* To make Sultan Badlishah Library (PSB) as an outstanding information centre based on its various and latest collections in order to support the mission, vision and direction of the university.
* To provide efficient and comfortable service counter to library users.
* To accommodate latest and relevant library collections as a way to fulfill the need of teaching, learning and university researches.
* To give excellent, quick, efficient and friendly services to local and outside users.
* To establish trained, skillful, ethically high and proactive workforce.
* To provide sufficient facilities as well as a conducive and better environment.
